Let’s get right into it, Insecure season 3 episode 6 Ready- Like. So Issa and Lawrence continue their awkward conversation at the convenience store. Issa asks Lawrence what he has been up to and we learn Lawrence has been doing everyone and everything and wound up with chlamydia but of course he says he’s been fine. Later on, we see Issa trying to flex entrepreneurial skills by trying to get paper work to throw a block party. The person who she is dealing with at the office seems doubtful as to whether Issa knows how much work it takes to throw a block party but not to worry because Issa walks out of the office and is met in the hallway by Nathan. Nathan encourages Issa and reassures her that everything is going to be alright. Later on in the episode we see Issa and Nathan lying side by side and Nathan asks Issa when do people know that their relationship/ situationship is real and Issa at first is oblivious to what he’s really asking but then when she gets it she seems to be pleased that Nathan is thinking along those lines.

Anyway, Miss. Tiffany is having a baby shower and Issa, Molly and Kelli seem to be turned off by Tiffany’s other friends who are super involved in making sure the shower goes well. It is later revealed that Kelli feels like she is losing her best friend Tiffany to the baby and some frustrations and resentments among the friendship surface. Tiffany is offended that Issa and Molly didn’t offer to throw her a baby shower and she admits that although Kelli offered to do so she preferred for her other friend to do so because the other friend is a mother. Kelli is understandably hurt by this and leaves the gathering early. I think Tiffany is disingenuous and wants to be fussed over just for the sake of it. She did admit that had Issa and Molly offered to throw her a party she wouldn’t have accepted…so what’s the problem? I think that it’s more than fine to know your strengths and weaknesses as a friend and opting not to do certain things. I would have done like Issa and Molly and just brought a gift because I know that planning isn’t my forte.

Now in case you forgot, Molly and Dro and his wife Candacerun in the same wider circle. Dro is at the baby shower and Molly for some reason yet to be uncovered goes and tries to strike up small talk with him. They hadn’t ended their fling on good terms and it was a toxic situation so I’m not sure why she didn’t let lying dogs lie. Dro responds negatively and Molly has no choice but to back away from him.

Tiffany comes back around near the end of the shower and reveals to Issa and Molly that Candace and Dro are expecting and says that Candace is such a lover of attention because Candace chose to reveal that at her shower. But unbeknownst to Tiffany, her words cause Molly significant pain.

Issa throughout the shower was trying to reach Nathan but he seemed to be eluding her. When Issa finds out that Lyft was able to contact him for information about the fight that happened when she first met Nathan she is confused because she cannot understand why he chose not to communicate with her.

Insecure Obsessed- Like

In this episode we see Issa obsessing over Nathan and wondering why it is that Nathan hasn’t been in contact with her. She posts on Instagram hoping he gets inspired by a hot picture of hers to contact her, tries to use a fake account to slide into his dms and fails and even searches his friend, Andrew’s house in search of him. Andrew had been out with  Molly but Molly stormed out of the date so Issa asked Molly to take her to the man’s house so that she could look for Nathan and Molly could also use it as an opportunity to patch things up with Andrew. What had caused Molly to prematurely leave the date was Andrew jokingly saying that Molly pretty much had to be playing herself into thinking that her married friend (Dro) led her on. The truth made Molly upset. At no point did Dro confess love for Molly nor say he was going to leave his wife for her. Molly knew what it was in the beginning but agreed to it. Anyway, back to this hot mess of a situation, Molly goes looking for Issa in Andrew’s house and hauls Issa out after seeing Issa trying to break into a computer. Molly tells Issa Nathan isn’t worth it. We later see Issa washing all the funk (which can be described as Nathan) off in the shower. She later meets with Lawrence and has a semi- awkward conversation with him again. I am not into Issa and Lawrence being friends. Lawrence wasn’t good for and she did cheat on him so I don’t think they should continue in each others’ presence. Molly in this episode also burned bridges at work and she comes across as a person only a handful of people could possibly like and those people couldn’t have worked with her or really have the opportunity to see her in action because something is terribly wrong with her. Anyway, the final episode of the season airs tomorrow night and I hope some loose strings are tied up and we find out oh where, oh where is Nathan.
